Movie Mad Review:
This is a sci-fi movie set in the year 2055. Time travel has now become a possibility, and Charles Hatton (Sir Ben Kingsley), a wealthy entrepreneur is exploiting it by providing the opportunity of a Time Sfari - where the wealthy can travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs in the prehistoric era.
When one of the hunters accidentally kills a butterfly, he unknowingly sets off a chain reaction that will erase humanity from existence, in a series of 'time waves'.
A team of experts must race against the clock to return back in time and replace the butterfly.
Being a sci-fi set in 2055 and based around time travel, the movie relies heavily on CGI.
And this is where it lacks the most. The special effects are some of the worst i've ever seen, especially for 2005, and this completely ruins the whole film.
The actors do their best, but fail to make this any more bearable. Add to that, the fact that there is no logic to a lot of the concepts, and you've got a recipe for an unwatchable movie.
Worth Watching ?
I wish i could travel back in time to reclaim the time i wasted watching this atrocity.
Worth Owning on DVD ?
I can't think of anyone who would want to watch this once, let alone own it for opportunity of further viewings.
