Movie Mad Review:
A woman (Jennifer Lopez), desperate to leave her abusive boyfriend behind and provide care for her daughter, moves in with her father in-law (Robert Redford) from whom she is estranged.

He blames her for the death of his son, and the unexpected visit causes buried anger and accusations to resurface. However, he finds a way for a connection through the grandaughter he's never known, and through time, they learn to find forgiveness and heal old wounds.

The film starts off very slowly, but this allows it to set the scene, and for us to bond with the characters and empathise with their highs and lows later on.

The scenery is wonderful and the acting is very good. Most memorably that of Robert Redford, who is fantastic in his role, as a rugged yet heartbroken cowboy, delivering a powerful performance.

Also staring, a Bear.

Worth Watching ?
Certainly not for those who like their films a little pacier, but a powerful and emotional film that most others will certainly enjoy.

DVD Features
- feature commentary with producer, director, and editor
- the making of
- training 'Bart The Bear'

Worth Owning on DVD ?
Not for everyone, but the more mature movie fan will want to own this in their collection. For me however, watching it once was enough.
